The American Kidney Fund (AKF) is the leading voluntary health
organization serving people with, and at risk for, kidney disease.
Kidney disease is among the 10 most lethal diseases in the U.S. AKF
offers direct financial assistance, comprehensive education programs,
clinical research fellowships, and community service programs. AKF has
information about the prevention/treatment of chronic kidney disease and
kidney failure, its disproportionate impact on minority communities, and
organ transplantation.
