Megan's House is a comprehensive residential treatment home for young women between the ages of 18 and 26 who struggle with addiction and other co-occurring disorders.
The home was founded by Tim Grover, who lost his daughter Megan to addiction at the age of 26. Finding treatment homes for young women in recovery is especially challenging, and Tim's vision was to create a safe place for his daughter to stay. Unfortunately, she passed away before that dream was realized.
Megan's House provides a multifaceted, comprehensive, holistic approach to treatment that includes evidence-based methods aimed at improving quality of life as well as the provision of life skills. The goal is to provide opportunities for residents to have the skills and support system to make and sustain life-changing decisions that will lead to a healthy and productive lifestyle. All services are funded through private donations and grants, and are provided at no cost to the residents of Megan's House.
Services are specifically tailored to each resident, through individual counseling, clinical services, case management, family treatment and group therapy. The highly structured program reinforces a drug and alcohol free lifestyle, while fostering emotional and spiritual growth in a safe, nurturing environment. Residents develop positive social, educational and vocational skills. They are also taught valuable time management, leadership and life skills. Aftercare placement and ongoing recovery support are considered a vital component to long-term recovery, therefore the program also assists residents in all aspects of the transition back home or to a new community, employment and education.
Megan's House is a beautiful, newly renovated home located in a residential neighborhood in Lowell, MA and accommodates up to 28 residents.
