Ray Lucchesi is president of Silverton Consulting which is a Storage, Strategy & Systems consulting services company, based in the USA offering products and services to the data storage community.

Ray has worked in data storage for over 25 years mostly in marketing and directing development of new enterprise class disk and tape automation products.

At Silverton Consulting, Ray speaks at major storage conferences, other venues, and supplies articles to the storage industry press. He has helped both large and small storage vendors improve their product marketing and development activities. In addition, Ray helps end user customers more effectively choose and use data storage products.

While working at another company, Ray focused on product marketing, strategy and architecture. Before that, over a 10-year span he directed embedded code development for an enterprise class disk subsystem. Earlier, Ray was lead architect and later managed the team that developed the host (server) software for an automated tape library. Both these products have been very successful in the data storage marketplace and are still being sold today.
