At night while we sleep in America, down corner alleys, behind old buildings, along abandoned railroads, horrible and unimaginable crimes are being committed against our youth – this is why Shoe Revolt is excited to announce the partnership with Stylites (teen created fashion company) to create a teen revolt. For teenagers, who live in a stable environment, sex trafficking issues are distant -- a concept that is difficult to grasp. Many teenagers are unaware of what sex trafficking really entails and how it's happening on domestic soil. Many teens are not even aware of the tricks that predators use to exploit and imprison youth like themselves against their will. Because this issue is so far from home, teenagers choose to ignore it. But, teens can no longer be complacent when it's affecting the very freedom that the United States of America promises to them all. This is why-- It's time to awaken teens to get up, and to start a Teen Revolt.

Candace Wu, teen co-founder of Stylites states, " we wanted to partner with Shoe Revolt because as cliché as this sounds, we wanted to make a difference in the lives of our peers."  "We wanted to make an impact on our community and educate our peers that sex trafficking affects children our age" Wu says.

Why fashion? For teens, fashion is an outlet. It's a passion. So why not combine something teens love and turn it into a means to start a dialogue about this issue? Fashion and style is a way of self-expression for many teens and at this age, they are all fighting to be original and to discover their place in this world. Fashion helps us make a connection with teens from around the world despite language, ethnic, culture differences. Shoe Revolt and Stylites believe that by using fashion we can stop sex trafficking in the United States and beyond by spreading the word and getting teens educated. Without an educated mass, how can we solve this widespread teen problem? Fashion will give that means, an opportunity to educate teens about the face of sex trafficking in order to keep them safe. Shoe Revolt and Stylites are determined to create a teen revolt by reaching out to teenagers to spread the word about sex trafficking, one fashion statement at a time.
