Star Jones Wedding Invitation
Star Jones Wedding Invitation

Star Jones, whose much talked about wedding spurred some negative publicity because of trading promotional promises in exchange for free merchandise, went out of her way to remedy this situation with her invitation supplier.

Celebrity party planner, David Tutera had designed her wedding invitation along with Stationery Studio and Encore Studios, the industry leading invitation manufacturer. It was arranged that her invitations would be provided gratis in exchange for some promotional considerations on shows like "The View" and "In Style's Celebrity Weddings"

When she was no longer to promote her vendors on "The View", "Star got right on the phone with us and told us so," states Brian Lawrence, VP of Sales and Marketing for Encore Studios. She explained that both television and tabloids were covering her wedding and there was plenty of publicity to come"

Star did get the publicity she promised but unfortunately her invitations were not included in the exposure. "Star once again called us, explained she submitted her invitations but they didn't end up getting the coverage she thought and was so delighted with the one-of-a-kind invitation we designed for her, that she did not want us to have any hard feelings and insisted on paying for the invitations", explained Brian Lawrence. "She was even willing to make a free celebrity appearance on our behalf and explained she would continue to recommend and use our company. I found her extremely forthright, sincere and down to earth"
