Those who 'get it' join board of high school mentoring program. (NewsReleaseWire) FORT WORTH, TEXAS--Monday, January 20, 2009--StengthBank Inc. today announced its annual rotation of its Board of Directors. With the new board members in place, each director has hands-on experience with the nonprofit's relationship skills initiative for high schools, a national program that encourages businesses and local chamber of commerce to engage its citizens in mentoring youth during high school advisory periods StrengthBank® Certification for business and community volunteers is a professional growth curriculum that effectively equips today's workforce to mentor tomorrow's, i.e., high school teens during advisory periods, twice a month. These advisory periods called StrengthBank® Talk Groups follow the program StrengthBank® for High Schools - A Relationship Skills Initiative which is also in place as an accredited elective class. Two StrengthBank® Mentor describe the StrengthBank® mentoring experience: "The program gives each student the time away from academic pressure, parent pressure, or any pressure to clarify each one's own path and worth. No where else have I seen this focus put so clearly and in terms that not only the students grow but we mentors grow as well. Get this in every high school in America! " "I think this is the greatest program to come along. I wish there had been something like this when I was in school. Schools prepare our children for the future in terms of academics, however, I feel, from personal experience, that finding your StrengthBank is just as important as the academics" 2009 StrengthBank Inc.
