The National Association of Baby Boomer Women (www.NABBW.com) and www.BoomerWomenSpeak.com, have once again joined forces with GRAND Magazine (www.grandmagazine.com) to offer a new writing contest—"Sharing Memories from the '70s with the Kids" Teamed with GRAND Magazine, the NABBW has opened the contest to boomer-age men and women alike.

The winner of the Sharing Memories from the '70s with the Kids contest will receive $250 and a free membership (or free renewal) in the National Association of Baby Boomer Women (Should a man win, he can keep the $250 and give the free membership to a boomer woman.) Additionally, the winning story will appear in the "Our Voices" section at www.BoomerWomenSpeak.com, a sister Web site of the NABBW. It will be published in the January/February 2009 issue of GRAND Magazine!

According to Dotsie Bregel, founder of the NABBW, "Give us 500 words about your life during the '70s—who was there; what was going on; how old were you; why was this moment in time so special—and if you win, we'll give you the ultimate prize; $250 dollars and membership to the National Association of Baby Boomer Women, the only association devoted to addressing all issues concerning Baby Boomer women today"

Bregel expects entries to come from all over the world. "The multitude of entries we experienced from our last contest convinced us of one thing" continues Bregel, "our readers love to take trips down memory lane. We decided to continue that same theme by encouraging everyone to send us their '70s story; but with this contest entry, they have the opportunity to send a message to today's youth. Everybody has a story, so take us back, share your moment in time with the younger generation(s), go ahead and paint them a picture of life in the '70s, as only you can tell it"

Entries can be submitted to contest@nabbw.com with Memories from the '70s in the subject line. Entries must be 500 words or less and must be sent as an attachment in a Word document by October 31, 2008.
