ESSpa - Pittsburgh's Best Spa featured in Day Spa Magazine Cover Story

(Pittsburgh, PA) - ESSpa Kozmetika Organic Skincare & Spa is pleased to announce its inclusion in the January 2008 Cover Story in DAYSPA Magazine entitled "Children's Hour". This in-depth feature article from the industry's premier national publication examines the growth of spa and skincare services designed and offered specifically for teenage boys and girls and younger children.

Featured throughout the article, ESSpa owner and skincare specialist, Eva Sztupka-Kerschbaumer explains how growing up in Hungary led to her unique view on skincare for children. "Growing up in Budapest, Hungary, Sztupka-Kerschbaumer and her younger brother had visited the local spa every week. They hadn't had the opportunity to see a dermatologist or take prescription medication for acne and other skin problems, so they relied on facials and spa treatments for an integral part of their health care. Because of this early experience, "We don't approach our children's services as 'princess parties,'" Sztupka-Kerschbaumer says. "We are all about making sure that young, healthy skin stays that way with the proper care"

In addition to Eva and ESSpa Kozmetika, the article includes nationally known spa consultant Peggy Wynne Borgman of Wynne Business, Los Angeles celebrity hotspot Spa Di Da, the renown Boulder School of Massage and other leading US beauty experts. However, as the article shows, Eva has created a unique (and much more inclusive) approach to skincare for children.

"[Peggy Wynne] Borgman explains. "Most households can't afford to send Mommy and all the kids on a regular basis, so children will likely only be seen at spas for special occasions" The reasoning is that without continuity of visits, the spa-going habit isn't apt to have taken hold by adulthood. Sztupka-Kerschbaumer disagrees. She believes that the earlier she can get a client on her table for a treatment, the more loyal she will be. That, she says, is the basis for [her] business model..... At ESSpa, almost every spa treatment that's available to adult guests is also offered to children. This is feasible because each treatment is customized and based on the unique features and requirements of the individual"

Kids and young adults are constantly bombarded with images of how society thinks they should look, act and feel. Life is difficult enough for young people without having to worry about a beakout of acne, or dry skin or just feeling tired and stressed-out. According to Eva, "In Budapest, we never went to Dermatologists and didn't have the choice of Accutane or even things like Oxy10 (we were lucky if bananas were for sale). The frequent spa treatments I had as a child helped me learn about my skin and taught me how to keep it healthy and looking its best"

ESSpa Kozmetika Organic Skincare & Spa is opened every day for skincare, nail and body treatments for women, men, children and private parties of any size.
