Elder Care Book Featured by Senior Approved Services
The elder care book, Minding Our Elders: Caregivers Share Their Personal Stories, was chosen as a featured book in Senior Approved Services' August newsletter, at www.seniorsapprove.com. The author of Minding Our Elders, Carol Bradley Bursack, is a columnist, speaker and blogger on the subject of elder care support.
Bursack is a regular on national radio, including "The Broadcast Show" with Sherrie McCutcheon, "The ElderLaw Forum" with Professor Mike Meyers and "The Ron Thulin Show" with Ron Thulin. She's been quoted in magazines and newspapers around the world, including Family Circle, North Jersey Media Group, The Leader-Telegram, Tampa Tribune and the Sydney Morning Herald.
Bursack speaks at conferences and workshops and writes a weekly elder care column for The Forum of Fargo-Moorhead, flagship newspaper of Forum Communications Company. She also blogs for Health Central's caregiver site, www.ouralzheimers.com.
Statistics show that 30 percent of the caregivers die before those they are caring for. People need support and education to learn to care for themselves, while being caregivers. Bursack is a 20 year veteran of caregiving for seven elders. This is what drove her to write Minding Our Elders: Caregivers Share Their Personal Stories, and this is what pushes her to speak at events and to blog.

Her twice weekly blog on www.ouralzheimers.com is an extension of her mission to help caregivers find resources to help in elder caregiving, with the goal of helping caregivers better care for themselves.
Bursack is a charter member of the Worldwide Network On-line for Health and Elder Care Professionals (WNNO). She is also a member of AARP, CAPS (Children of Aging Parents), the National Caregivers Advisory Panel and the National Family Caregivers Association. She is on the advisory board of RSVP (The Retired Senior Volunteer Program).
