Hitler Here: A Biographical Novel by George Thomas Clark
George Thomas Clark, author of the just released Hitler Here, has created a multi-faceted and multi-layered history lesson in his emotionally charged and factually correct biographical novel. Written under a series of by lines delivered from the point of view of Adolph Hitler, Clark also intersperses these one or two page historical sonnets with points of view from Hitler's comrades, generals, enemies and observers, even peppering the text with observations from anonymous sources such "an economist" or a "an assistant"
Historians are lauding Clark for getting inside the head of man who altered human history forever, while laying down the story in a tapestry of real history from a myriad of viewpoints during one of mankind's darkest times and biggest tests in confronting evil. In high praise, Lt. Col. Anne Christiansen (Retired) has compared his work to that of the great World War II historian Stephen Ambrose. Good company indeed. In the midst of a national publicity campaign, Clark is appearing on radio shows across the country talking not only about a book that all should read in order to understand history better, but also about the lessons of history in terms of the international situation in this post 9/11 period of turmoil and stress. His book shows how even evil people are, in many ways, very much like regular folk at times. History thus teaches us that we must confront such evil with strength, vigor and resolve. For a variety of reasons, both noble and base, the tragedy and intrigue of Hitler and World War II will continue to attract readers around the world as long as man seeks to understand himself. The English language rights have been sold in India to Vasan Publications/Mastermind Books and the Czech language rights to Mlada Fronta publishing of Prague.
