Even Single Engine Private Airplanes Get In On Technology Previously Reserved For Big Jets

Tampa, FL – July 14, 2009: You can see the future of private aviation and aircraft instrumentation that is the latest in innovation this Saturday, July 18th, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Tampa Executive Airport, formally Vandenberg Airport, located at 6582 Eureka Springs Road 6 miles east of downtown Tampa near the intersections of I-4 and I-75.

Leading Edge Aviation, Inc., is hosting this very special Open House event.

In addition to the very latest Cirrus private aircraft, visitors will be able to see Avidyne's Release 9 avionics panel.

"Even experienced private pilots are impressed with Avidyne's latest 'glass-panel' aircraft instrumentation," remarked Leading Edge's director of operations, Dave Moberg. "Everything you see in the big commercial jets can now be installed in private aircraft."

Bill Thompson, General Manager of Sarasota Avionics Tampa Executive Airport's base of operations the area's highest regarded aircraft instrumentation expert, noted, "Avidyne has developed a truly affordable system that will make any pilot more proficient and much safer by simplifying user interface thus reducing pilot workload. Even older aircraft can be retrofitted with Avidyne's glass-panel avionics instrumentation. This is a totally integrated and sophisticated aircraft avionics system that we can install from scratch in about than 2 weeks."

There's no admission cost and parking is free. Moberg has added free snacks and sandwiches. Bring the whole family.

Normally, we only get to see private aircraft at a distance when we pass local airports. This Saturday you will be standing right next to the latest and greatest in private aircraft. Leading Edge will actually have a static display of the famous Cirrus SR-22 Generation 3 single engine, private aircraft with the full Avidyne Release 9 avionics package installed right at their airport facility.

Private aircraft owners, pilots and those thinking about learning to fly their own airplane are encouraged to make a date to be at Tampa Executive Airport this Saturday.

In addition to Leading Edge Aviation and, Sarasota Avionics will have staff on hand to demonstrate and answer questions about Avidyne's glass-panel instruments.
