Building Bridges to Better Tomorrows
Who knew 2009 would be so irksome for writers' events? Many were cancelled or severely cut back in size and scope. For the record, the 6th Annual San Francisco Writers Conference was once again sold out. When several writers had to be turned away at the door of the Mark Hopkins Hotel, it proved a quality event like the SFWC will attract attendees even in the worst of times!
That said, if writers want to be sure to have a seat at the 2010 San Francisco Writers Conference, to be held President's Day Weekend, February 12-14, 2010 at the InterContinental Mark Hopkins Hotel, it's never too early to sign up. The organizers have already announced some of the keynoters and new additions to the faculty: Jacquelyn Mitchard (Deep End of the Ocean) Steve Berry (The Templar Legacy) Susan Wiggs (Fireside) The 2010 event will have nearly 100 presenters—bestselling authors, editors, agents and publishers—but there will be a limit of 300 attendees for unequaled one-on-one discussions and networking opportunities. DISCOUNT ALERT!!!! You can go to the website www.SFWriters.org to register on-line or print out the mail-in registration form. It features an Early Rate for the 2010 SFWC of $495. Return it before August 31, 2009 with a check or credit card info to save your seat....and save an astounding $200 off the full registration fee! Check the San Francisco Writers Conference website for event updates and new presenters as they are added to the schedule. A subscription to the free opt-in email newsletter is available on the website, as well. The event will once again be at the fabulous InterContinental Mark Hopkins Hotel on Nob Hill.
