Int'l Women's Day & the Oscars showcase women, says Deborah King

The 82nd Annual Academy Awards showed us what women are capable of (besides wearing gorgeous gowns) as Kathryn Bigelow took home Oscars for Best Director (a first for women!) and Best Picture for her post-invasion Iraq film, "The Hurt Locker." The next day was International Women's Day, reminding us of what still needs to be done before women around the world have equal rights and equal opportunities.
