IAAM president Dr. Hans J. Kugler, PhD, defines health as a state of homeostasis, determined by non-drug key health practices. .

IAAM (International Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, a California 501-C-3 non-profit health education organization), believes that there is sufficient scientific evidence to define health as a state of homeostasis, easily managed by individuals via adhering to good, essential, health practices.

Professor Emanuel Cheraskin, MD, DMD, PhD, Alabama University School of Medicine pointed out that we only look at extremes:

Black or white,

Ill or healthy,

Fat or thin,

Diabetic or non-diabetic,

While in reality we have a wide spectrum between the two extremes.

In respect to type II diabetes, it should be obvious that a person was once only 10% diabetic, then 20%, 30%, up to being 100% diabetic. Look at "healthy" (non-diabetic) as a state of homeostasis, achieved by practicing ALL key health practices, ranging from physical activity, to nutrition, environment, body pollution (and more), and you will recognize that 80 to 90% of adult (type II) diabetes is self-induced, preventable, and reversible.

Depression alone can be eliminated with the right exercise program; John Greist, MD, Wisconsin University, and John Abramson ("Overdo$ed America"), Harvard Medical School.

The key to optimum health and anti-aging is to take charge of your own health by following all key health practices, and not to rely on prescription drugs to deliver health.
