Connecticut Lawyers Offer Free Assistnace To Those In Need
Hartford, CT
Wednesday, May 06, 2009
The law firm of Alderman & Alderman announced today that it has set aside a block of time each week to provide free legal assistance to those in need. This program is designed to assist local businesses and individuals who have suffered a substantial drop in income. The program is designed to assist individuals and small businesses in the greater Hartford community that are in need of legal assistance to deal with the current economic crisis, but lack the funds to pay for these services. The program represents an increase in the amount of time that Alderman & Alderman will dedicate to pro bono services. Myles Alderman explained: "These are really difficult times for many of our friends and neighbors. We have the skills and experience to help those in need. We are pleasedto be able to help." Since 1992, Alderman & Alderman has been helping businesses of all sizes, and select individuals, successfully deal with debtor-creditor issues. The firm's attorneys have substantial experience guiding businesses through restructurings, protecting "mission critical" interests in "mega" bankruptcies, and helping individuals finance and protect that which is important to them. Myles Alderman is the author of the Bankruptcy Law Chapter of the Connecticut Lawyer's Deskbook (Connecticut Bar Association, 2008) and Chapter 11 Business Reorganizations For Business Leaders, Accountants & Lawyers (Outskirts Press, 2006). If you have suffered a substantial decrease in income and would like to speak with an attorney about your current situation, or if you know someone who could benefit from this program, please direct them to the "Free Assistance" link below. Alderman & Alderman was formed in January of 1992 by founding partners Myles Alderman and Linda Alderman* (husband and wife) and Frank Browne as Of Counsel. * Linda Alderman is currently on a medical leave of absence from the practice.
