ACTO elects Patrick Williams, Ph.D., MCC, and owner of the Institute for Life Coach Training, for his leadership, experience and vision, to continue preserving the meaning and principles of the coach training industry.

Williams is a recipient of the first Global Visionary Fellowship and founder the non-profit organization, Coaching The Global Village, assisting third world counties develop self sustaining communities using the 'coach approach'.

The focus of Williams' work will be to find positive solutions for ACTO's most current concern; standardizing the credentialing process for professional coaches.

"At this moment , I am not convinced the ICF has chosen the most appropriate company to consult for the industry's credentialing system. We do need to make credentialing evidenced based, and global in its application, but need to be careful to not over complicate the process." "ACTO will be working closely with the ICF and other coaching leaders to find the smartest solution. I am looking forward to this challenge", states Williams.

Former ACTO President, Jeffrey E. Auerbach states, "Pat has tremendous enthusiasm for coaching and is extremely well connected and is an ideal ambassador for the goals of our organization"

ACTO's Mission is aligned with the definition, ethics and competencies as espoused by the ICF, as a base line foundation for coaching training. Williams served as a board director of the ICF for four years.
