(NEWPORT NEWS, VA) -- Zoë Bell wows audiences with her high kicks as a stuntwoman in films such as Xena: Warrior Princess, and as an actress in movies like Death Proof (opposite Kurt Russell), Whip It (opposite Drew Barrymore, Ellen Page), Angel of Death (lead) and Game of death (opposite Wesley Snipes) coming soon. Now she's helping Shoe Revolt kick human trafficking to the curb with her donation of shoes to the online boutique launching Aug. 1.

"Sex trafficking is a horrific and shocking truth," says Bell, one of Hollywood's top stunt doubles. "These girls and women deserve so much more than what life is offering them. Shoe Revolt is taking a big shoe-shaped light and shining it where there are too many shadows. Thank you Shoe Revolt." She adds that she feels lucky to be in a position to donate her shoes, unlike victims of human trafficking. "I am lucky enough to be able to do anything to help these women who have been so unlucky."

Bell was born in New Zealand and has a background in martial arts and gymnastics. She began working as a stuntwoman in 1995 when she doubled for Lucy Lawless in the Xena series. Since then, she has worked in Kill Bill, Catwoman and Grindhouse, among other films. Her work has been critically acclaimed with nominations and wins in the Taurus World Stunt Awards' "Best Stunt by a Stunt Woman" and "Best Fight" categories.

Shoe Revolt is a for-profit company intending to stamp out human trafficking by creating a social enterprise to produce a steady revenue stream through the sale of new and used donated shoes. All net profit will be dedicated to fighting human trafficking, with 50 percent going to charitable partner GEMS (Girls Educational and Mentoring Services), and the other 50 percent going to survivor educational scholarships and public advocacy.

ShoeRevolt.com is an online shoe boutique that raises awareness of, inspires and empowers women to donate high-end shoes to eradicate human trafficking in the United States with every donated shoe sold. "Zoë may not have any mercy for her on-screen enemies, but she has a huge heart for women who are the victims of sex trafficking," says Ateba Crocker, Shoe Revolt president and philanthropist. "With help from celebrities like her – as well as ordinary women – we can take a stand and help women who don't believe they have options."
