'Smart' No Snore Bed
A 'Smart' Bed That Actually Stops Your Snoring
Tampa, FL – September 2, 2009) Like me, you've probably seen all kinds of gadgets claiming to help solve your snoring problem. Some are gadgets that clip on your nose rather painfully. Some wrap around your teeth and gums. Oh the pains people go through to stop their snoring. The newest and most innovative development is a fully anti-snoring bed. Say what??? Yep! The bed actually features a listening device that gently and tenderly adjusts your head's angle when it 'hears' you snoring. According to sleep disorder doctors and specialists, snoring is caused by the vibration of the soft palette in the rear roof area of your mouth. When you're awake, your brain prevents 'snoring' as a matter of civility just as it causes you to cover your mouth when you cough. But when you're asleep, the 'civility' monitor in your brain goes to sleep too allowing that soft palette area to vibrate. I've known so many sleeping partners with snoring problems that have had to revert to finding a distant room in the house to sleep in so that they didn't annoy their bed partners. Joe Costa, president of Heads-Up Sleep Systems, says his 'Smart' bed is an absolute cure for your snoring grief. "First of all, as long as you continue to sleep on a flat mattress you are going to be susceptible to snoring," Mr. Costa reminds us. "This is especially true when the snoring is the result of sleep apnea." Joe's proven solution? Sleep on a contoured bed that is scientifically designed and built just for humans. "Not only is a flat mattress bad for you health wise (I looked it up on the Internet – He's right – Forget flat beds), these flat beds promote snoring. We offer an adjustable contoured bed that has a sound & movement sensing device. The contour is ideally suited for us humans. Plus, if you snore, the bed 'hears' it and automatically and very gently adjusts itself slightly while applying a very gentle massage. It continues adjusting & massaging until you stop snoring. Usually, a person stops snoring in just a few moments," Joe reported. My next step was to contact owners of the anti-snoring Heads Up Sleep System bed. Gail & Frank Wrangler said they thought about getting separate houses. "Frank's snoring was so bad that it echoed through the house like a freight train," Gail claimed. "Now there's no more snoring. I wake up in the middle of the night now thinking 'I must be alone' only to see Frank sound asleep peacefully and QUIETLY." Not that I didn't believe Mr. Costa and the Wranglers but I wanted to check it out myself. So I went to Mr. Costa's home and got into his bed. He and his wife were happy to let me conduct this non-scientific test. Yes, the bed was extremely comfortable. I adjusted the contour to my taste. The room was quiet. I laid there for a few minutes. Then I began to make snoring sounds. Instantly, the bed adjusted my head up a tiny fraction of an inch. To continue my fake snoring, I had to start trying to make a snoring sound again. I was so impressed. Something that really works. I guess the most startling thing to me was that these beds cost the same as regular high-line beds.
