It's fascinating what we take for granted. I'm a lector in church, and since I've been a professional speaker as part of my career for decades, and I'm in the Speakers Hall of Fame, I'm pretty good at it! One day, before the services began, I was reviewing the readings (again) in the rear of the church when a woman stopped, looked in, and said, “No wonder you're so good. You practice!”
