Long term care association working with Amada Senior Care to educate consumers

The nation's leading resource for information pertaining to long-term care insurance announced plans to work with a leading home care provider to educate consumers.

"The vast majority of individuals who purchase long-term care insurance protection want the ability to receive care in their own home and this protection makes that possible," declares Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance (AALTCI).  The organization maintains the nation's leading online resource for information pertaining to long-term care insurance and helps tens of thousands of consumers every year who are seeking information on the topic.

"People mistakenly associate long-term care insurance with nursing home care when in reality, the vast majority of claims begin and end with the policyholder receiving care in their own home," Slome explains.  "We continually strive to educate individuals about the importance of planning and the role that both long-term care insurance and short-term care insurance can play in protecting against the very real risk of needing care."

Slome announced the Association plans to work with a leading home care services provider to create heightened understanding and awareness throughout 2017.  "We are very pleased to be working with Amada Senior Care a recognized and growing leader in the home care / senior care services field.

"We are very pleased to be working with Amada and during my recent meeting with Tafa Jefferson the company's president, we discussed various ways we could educate more consumers with information that will enable them to make better decisions that benefit their families," Slome added.
