Sometimes our stress comes from our own self image, or at least from our own self limiting statements.

  • I can’t learn this
  • I’m not good at networking
  • I’m always late
  • I’m very disorganized

So here’s an option. Instead of a statement that sounds (or is) self limiting, change it to a question. A question that is “enabling.” Try these:

  • How can I better learn this?
  • What can I do to be a better networker?
  • What actions can I take to be on time?
  • What tips can I try to be better organized?

The challenge with negative self talk is that you risk actualizing the thought.

So, turn it around to a question that you can explore. It turns limiting thoughts into energizing action.

So, what questions will you ask yourself?
