To be sure, Donald Trump can win this election given the unprecedented anger and the thirst for "outsiders" felt by this electorate—notice coin-flip races now in key states like Florida and here in Pennsylvania.

But last night, President Obama—in arguably history's most effective convention speech—borrowed the mantle of Ronald Reagan and Teddy Roosevelt in re-defining Hillary Clinton, the stakes in this election, and America's future.

Now, Hillary Clinton's challenge will be to not just convince the electorate to vote against Donald Trump …. She must also convince the nation to vote for her. Clinton cannot win by simply arguing why Trump must lose.

In all the global elections we've worked on, including those of Barack Obama, the winners have done the three things Hillary Clinton must do now: Unify the nation; transcend politics; and define a compelling future. Going forward, Hillary Clinton must unify, transcend, and define a compelling future to win the US Presidency.
