LOS ANGELES, CA, February 6, 2016 - Florida ranks as the state with the most residents covered by Medicare Supplement insurance policies, also known as Medigap insurance according to the American Association for Medicare Supplement Insurance.
"Some 11.2 million Americans currently own a Medicare Supplement insurance policy and hundreds of thousands of consumers compare and purchase coverage every year," explains Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Medicare Supplement Insurance (AAMSI), a national insurance trade group that shares information pertaining to the Medigap industry.
Slome shared the latest data today with agents who market Medigap products. The following 10 states report the greatest number of individuals with Medicare Supplement insurance policies.
