L.A. public charity looking to measure its impact by interviews with participants for a video project

Announced today, July 22, 2015, New Education Options, Inc. is looking for LAUSD graduates and past students from 1999-2015 who have participated in interactive shows and classroom programs provided to the city and county since the CD of Wind in the Willows by William Elliott was released and the artist educator founders were sponsored by Roland U.S. and Japan and Parents Magazine at the Encino Barnes and Noble store.

We would like to do a series of video and audio interviews with our audience that will measure the impact of The Mindspan Project, Las Madres Y Padres Como Estudiantes in local, regional, and county or city settings.  We began as a founding duo as William Elliott and Bo Lebo aka The Mindspan Project in live performances across LA, LA County in 1999.

We were honored on the Big Spin with the composer and artist performer being honored on the Big Spin of the California Lottery by Pat Finn and Betty White.

We are inviting our participant children  (maybe now adults or even parents) to talk to us about the impact of our performances on children, adults and teachers. What happened in school performance, in study choices, and in reading now to your children from working with Mindspan and seeing our touring shows.  From Santa Barbara to San Bernardino, we'd like to hear from you.  Can you write us at kidsfirst.la to bo@kidsfirst.la and send us a quote or your bio.  We'd like a picture and to assemble a collage, quotes, interviews, and stories in the video project measuring our impact and assembling our human factor assets. Write a 3-5 sentence overview and send us how to contact you over the web or by phone.  We will contact you and hope to create a portal to stay in touch or be able to invite you to participate in our 2 minute student community service film for Fall-Winter Quarter 2015.

We are capturing stories about how we impacted you and the result.  This is a call for the children now young adults who sang the Wind in the Willows songs in Southern California.  Those who sang with Bo in Vancouver, B.C., New York, New York, Chicago, San Diego, Rialto, El Cerritos, Anaheim, Studio City, Downtown LA, along the LA River, in libraries, events at Griffith Park and MacArthur Park, in Pasadena at the Main Library/children's room/auditorium, Taper Auditorium/LAPL main branch and bookstores, events, and in other cities…..please write us too if you saw us on YouTube, at Kulaks Woodshed, or at Mayor Riordan's events.  Look forward to hearing from you.

We will keep you apprised of where we are going next working with Climate Literacy, saving the water vole and bobcats, planting gardens and replanting low water use plants, working with FoLAR clean ups and with EEI curriculum and writing new songs inspired by the GLOBE SMAP protocol, Pluto, STEM, STEAM and EEI wordwalls.  We learned to count our assets and as a travelling learning program our assets continue to be you.  Write us a review on Great Nonprofits or write to us directly at bo@kidsfirst.la

Thank you.
