On a day when South Carolina is mourning nine people shot in Charleston and our whole country is in grief.  A historic church and its program has been violated by gun shots and murderous acts.

The world is shaken at the same time by another shot off the bow about moral behavior where the civilized world at stake.

In the South, the FBI is after the shooter.

In the papacy, there are those who are not agreeing with the Pope.  Naomi Klein would say that climate change is a game changer.

Moral Mondays has pressed for justice about shootings and more.  It is a time for listening to others to change abhorrent behavior.  At, Pandopopulus, at Claremont and Pomona College, the interfaith community came together to call for moral acts to steward our future in keeping with changing habits and changing minds based on spiritual principles.

It is horrifying that we are back to a violent act with humans destroyed that echos the calculated hatred of the past and that is echoing through our country today.    At Pandopopulus, academics and theologicians spoke about taking "our country back" through action and teach ins that create a new American ethics of social justice and environmental health.

We will have to have discourse to end senseless violence, hatred, and wild weather due to ignorance, real crimes, or mental health.

Americans are reliving the need to have gun control, and security necessary at places of faith...we are all looking at the wake of this distructive act.

The Pope and the people of Charleton have been injected into issues one conciously and one community through being attacked.

You review the 10 commandments and consider that we have been advised how to care for each other and for the animals, plants, water and resources we share with others.  We have to heed the call to look at what is in our hearts and minds and turn away from what causes harm and so destroys our home and our dream of equity and a peaceful future.
