Manny Winston, z’l, invented, conceptualized, drew many inventions for Israel. Many offensive but, mostly defensive. How to defend our country in a really bad neighborhood while keeping our IDF brave fighters & our civilian men, women & children safe. The Surveillance Balloon was one of those defense mechanisms. I was thrilled to see it flying over Gush Etzion during the Gaza War. Manny always said: “Israel needs to surveil the territory from high up & over the horizon so we can see our enemies, but the enemy can’t see us or reach us with their rockets.” Now it’s in place, in play & highly desired by our Old Country – whose president can’t seem to appreciate who we are, why we are surviving & why we are of such value to the United States of America.

This Surveillance Balloon in operation is one reason why. It flies up high in the sky. So our blessings of safety can come from Shamayim (Heaven). That’s what the Bs”d in the upper right corner above means: “B’Siata D’Shmaya”. By the Grace of Heaven…from HaShem/G-d. Be thankful.

We should really count our blessings this week. The election was successful. The Israeli people voted 72%, more than any other democracy. We voted for & got a very strong government. We know that Bibi as Prime Minister can stand up to hostile pressure from the American president.

We can face the dangerous neighborhood we live in with confidence that our government will make the best decisions for our safety, security, spiritual & economic well-being. Then we can continue to be vote ourselves as one of the most happy countries in the world with our people having longevity, good health resources, sweet air, a people of vitality (even those with disabilities &/or old age problems), good education, good food, great cooks, fabulous agriculture….Add to the list.
