New talent, writers, composers, journalists can come from anywhere. Whether "Little Mosque on the Prairie" or the 9th International Youth Media Summit, we need new thinkers, visionaries, and creatives more than ever. This is why this public service announcement deserves coverage and why it is so important to send it out today!
The International Youth Media Summit (IYMS) is picking up steam and seeking collaborative allies for its pending event(s).
IYMS is looking for angel sponsors who can make tax deductible donations to pay for the participation costs for delegates coming from the Balkans to the International Youth Media Summit, July 14 – 27.
Due to the recent flooding in Serbia and the surrounding countries, money that was earmarked for the Balkan delegates was diverted to help pay for those affected by the floods. Consider underwriting these young producers or others from the list of countries below. Film/Media like music is an international medium and new talent and craft deserves a viewing and training on new tools often themselves the sourced in international commerce and collaboration.
This year 82 people from 25 countries are scheduled to attend the two week gathering of young people determined to use their talents and skill to transform their future.
Please consider the direct value and the affinity marketing value for covering the 9th Annual International Youth Summit program…… Here are some credentials and delegate sponsorship opportunities for foreign students or for Californians.

When you respond this week in a timely fashion you or your company will make all the difference and have a tax credit this fiscal year!
U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein has endorsed the IYM Summit, saying:
"Through its educational workshops and hands-on training, the Summit provides an invaluable opportunity for youth empowerment. There is no doubt that its extraordinary efforts have touched countless lives and will continue to do so for many years to come."
We have received special support from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. In a period where the city, county and state are acting to restore their competitive edge and draw back Economic Development and Screen Industry dollars, to California, your company or educational institution private or public can join AMPAS and Senator Feinstein and promote your visibility through encouraging young voices in international and national media.
Two weeks from Monday, 75 young people and their advisors will arrive at LAX from 24 different countries to participate in the Summit.
Young people from 24 countries will gather at Soka University in Aliso Viejo from July 14 – 27th; there they will work together on media projects that will be a call to action to others in their generation on seven key issues: Ending Poverty, Stopping Violence, Promoting Good Health, Preventing Discrimination, Saving Our Environment, Guaranteeing Women's Rights, and Empowering Youth.
While working together, they'll develop understanding that will transcend differences and change how they view other countries and other cultures.
University or College Sponsorship offers:
The IYMS has opened applications to additional delegates from local universities. They must apply and send in their checks by July 7th. Fill out an application on iyms-usa.org. Application says 3 per delegations – ignore that copy and apply today.
If (CSUN) Cal State University at Northridge students can pay for students ($1,000 per student) to attend the Summit, we can put them down as a partner.
If a college or University in addition sponsors some of the international students already coming, IYMS can list that university or college as a sponsor and include their logo on our website and the program.
Participating students will live on campus at Soka University for the entire time – from July 14th – 27th
