The City of Loma Linda, just east of Los Angeles designated the Healthiest City in United States by National Geographic, hosted the Bragg Healthy Lifestyle Weekend at the end of June and it was a fantastic event. Patricia Bragg, owner of Bragg Live Foods, author and natural living icon, participated in a series of book signings, health seminars and lectures throughout the three-day event. She even found time to visit a three-year girl at the famous Loma Linda Children?s Hospital who, like Patricia, had been born premature at 1.6 pounds and was in the hospital with a respiratory infection.
Patricia was born premature, at 2-pounds, after her Mother was in a car accident that forced her water to break and she literally fell out. Lots of prayers and three-months in the hospital were the beginning of life full of purpose and energy. Patricia?s visit to little Helaina Cornett proved a big boost to her spirits as Bragg and Dr. John Westerdahl, Director of Bragg Health Institute, offered prayers for her speedy recovery from the infection. She recovered since late June and, knowing that Patricia Bragg collects dolls, the parents of Helaina sent her a collectible doll as a gesture of appreciation for taking the time to visit their daughter.
The Bragg Healthy Lifestyle Weekend was a huge success with big crowds coming to the book signings and to hear Patricia dispense information and wisdom about healthful living. Bragg was distributing books, such as Vegetarian Health Recipes, Bragg Healthy Lifestyle and Apple Cider Vinegar, along with samples of the product line of salad dressings, seasonings, Extra Virgin Organic Olive Oil and the world famous Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar.
The City of Loma Linda issued a Proclamation of Thanks, signed by Mayor Rhodes Rigsby, for the Bragg Lifestyle Weekend and the city will undoubtedly host another weekend event next year.
