Obama the Target of Today's Holder Contempt Vote, says Gun Dean

"President Barack Obama is the ultimate target of today's attempt in the House of Representatives to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress," John M. Snyder said here this morning.
"Speaker John Boehner made this clear last week when he castigated Obama for invoking executive privilege in connection with the Fast and Furious scandal," Snyder noted.
"This is as it should be," Snyder added. "Obama's trying to protect Holder. Holder's attempt to cover-up the scandal by refusing to give Congress documentation to which it is entitled is an outrage. So is Obama's attempt to let Holder hide behind the White House.
"Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) and the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee have been trying long and hard to get to the bottom of the Justice Department and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives operation. In it, thousands of guns with government connivance went from American gun dealers through straw purchasers to Mexican drug cartels. Many of the firearms then were used in crimes in Mexico and in the United States, including in the murder of at least one United States federal law enforcement officer. Last week the Committee voted for the contempt citation."
Snyder said that, "Today's planned vote is historic. If successful, it will show that the House of Representatives will not tolerate the Obama administration's attempt to hide the truth from Congress and the American people."
Snyder is the gun dean, according to Human Events.
