"THe KEEPER of the KEYS" is available on DVD, and Can Ship to Anywhere in the World
The Keeper of the Keys
is already being touted as being "the best film of its kind" by experts in the field. When it comes to personal development movies, most offer endless streams of "talking heads" – there is content, though they are anything but entertaining. The Keeper of the Keys
breaks the mold. It's the first self-help movie that is funny, plus it has special effects, a fictional story line, and a lot of "meat on the bone", as one viewer commented, and all viewers agree that they want to see it again and again.
Producer Robin Jay, who is also President of the Las Vegas Convention Speakers Bureau
, said, "Many professional speakers have appeared in the recent flood of self-help movies, so I have tried to watch these movies so I can stay on top of what is going on in the industry. But, I found I could hardly get through most of today's personal development films. It seems that ever since the success of The Secret, most personal development movies are little more than an endless stream of 'talking heads.' There may be nuggets of wisdom, but the movies are drier than a year-old Saltine!"
"I felt the industry could use a movie that was fun, funny, and entertaining, as well as empowering. Why couldn't I combine inspiration, motivation, AND humor? My goal in producing The Keeper of the Keys
was to create a fun movie that everyone would enjoy, even people who aren't fans of the self-help genre. Because the movie offers a unique blend of experts sharing their experiences in a dream sequence complete with special effects, many are calling the movie a cross between The Secret
and Harry Potter.
The Keeper of the Keys
just came out on DVD and already it's a hit. The Spiritual Cinema Circle
(SCC) offered a non-exclusive license for the movie to be their April release. It will arrive in member's mailboxes this week. SCC members reside around the world, in more than 65 countries. In honor of The Keeper of the Keys
being this month's featured release from SCC, Jay is offering a 20% discount to the first 200 people who visit the website and buy the DVD. Just enter the promo code APRIL20

Stephen Simon is the co-founder of the SCC. He produced the cult classic Somewhere in Time
with Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour, What Dreams May Come
with Robin Williams, and produced and directed Conversations with God
with Neale Donald Walsch. He wrote that it is "the most innovative and entertaining film of its kind ever made. Wildly original, howlingly funny, fast-paced, and utterly delightful in every way, the film is truly a gift to the world. True to its ad copy, the film takes 'the hell out of self-help' and is the new gold standard in its genre. When you see this movie, you will learn, laugh, and clap your hands with joy!" The movie stars several of the teachers who appeared in The Secret
, including Jack Canfield, John Gray,
and Marci Shimoff
, along with other experts who are newer to the self-help scene. One of the experts with whom Simon was most impressed was Hueina Su
. He told her, "Thanks so much for your contribution to what I believe is the best film of its kind that I have ever seen–and, yes, that includes The Secret
As co-founder of Spiritual Cinema Circle (SCC), Simon has also had to watch countless self-help or personal growth movies. Like Jay, he has found that while many of them offer some value, many are anything but fun. Jay contacted Simon when she began the project early in 2011. "I wanted Stephen to direct my movie. He was too busy at the time to direct but, instead, he mentored me every step of the way. He loved the fact that I wanted to do something VERY different; in fact, it was Stephen's suggestion to make the movie funny."
"Then," Jay said, "I hired Scott Cervine to star as the lead fictional character in the movie. I'd seen him in several movies and thought he'd be perfect as the Michael, the pivotal character in the movie. I wanted someone who could be funny even when they are miserable. It's actually a tough combination to achieve. And, after my first production meeting, Cervine not only agreed to star in it, but said he wanted to direct the feature documentary, too."
"I think viewers may have to remind themselves that this film is a documentary. We have a dream sequence right out of A Christmas Carol
– where the character of Michael dreams he is trapped in a mansion, talking to experts about his life, and he wants to wake up. The special effects are incredibly engaging and the stories are moving. It all makes for a brilliant combination of expert testimonials and a compelling story; viewers want to see what happens to Michael."
"The expert segments are not the same, old, tired sound bites that we have seen in so many movies of this genre. Instead, I worked with the experts to uncover their deepest personal stories of transformation. The experts in the movie are authentic and honest, and their stories are nothing anyone has ever heard before. The movie is fun, funny, and incredibly moving. And many of the stories will have viewers feeling empowered and motivated to make positive changes in their own lives."
Jeweler Harry Mason wrote, "It exceeded my expectations, making me laugh and moving me to tears in parts. I have been a student of transformation for over 31 years. I have attended many seminars, read many books, listened to many CD's and watched many movies, including The Secret. The Keeper of the Keys
is in a league of its own. It was a joy to watch. And, the best part was that it was very FUNNY! The humor in this movie was used exceptionally well to get across many of the points that lead to the main character's transformation."
Jay says, "Comparisons to the blockbuster movie The Secret
are inevitable. Until now, it was the gold standard for the genre, which is why other producers have tried to copy its format. The Secret
has enjoyed phenomenal success and has reached people who never even knew the field of personal growth or self-help even existed. Oprah Winfrey loved it and interviewed the experts from the film, so the movie's popularity grew quickly.
"But, The Secret
became somewhat controversial because many viewers became frustrated with when they tried to use the Law of Attraction
– which is the subject of the film – to manifest wealth ... but came up empty. They felt they were doing something wrong," Jay explains. "But, while the movie touted the method for creating the life of your dreams, it was missing some of the actual 'how-to' action steps."
"The advantage we have in The Keeper of the Keys
is that instead of focusing on HAVING MORE, our movie is about BEING MORE. It offers a great ensemble of diverse experts coming together to empower the viewers on so many different topics. We've heard nothing but positive comments from everyone who has seen it."
