Should Kardashians Limit Their Weddings?
"Last year Kim's wedding delayed attendees of
Dan Poynter's first annual
Global Ebook Awards ceremony in Santa Barbara. This year Dan is once again accepting entries (
http://globalebookawards.com ) which means his program is now older than her marriage," says Mike Bowker, in the
Daily Sound, Nov. 5, 2011.
The Kardashian wedding created so much additional traffic, in normally quiet Santa Barbara, that many winners of the August 20, 2011 Global Ebook Awards arrived late to their ceremony. The wedding and the award ceremony were held on the same Saturday afternoon.
Dan Poynter, founder of the Awards, said he hopes the next Kardashian wedding won't be on August 18, during the 2012 awards.

"I am not against crowd-pleasing events," said Poynter. "They pump a lot of money into the economy of our gorgeous resort community. Santa Barbara is a perfect location for all kinds of events."
"We hope people will not confuse the two events. The Global Ebook Awards are lasting longer than 72 days."
