JK Harris & Company 'just what the doctor ordered' for IRS tax audit

GOOSE CREEK, S.C. – When John Bernardo of Palmyra, PA opened the correspondence he received from the IRS, he was in for the shock of his life.

The notice Bernardo received was Form AUR CP2000, an audit notice from the IRS stating he had unreported income, to the tune of $22,000.

The same day he received the audit notice, Mr. Bernardo saw a television commercial for JK Harris & Company, the nation's largest tax representation firm. Bernardo immediately picked up the phone, called and made an appointment for a consultation the very next day.

"Mr. Bernardo's case was referred to me and I reviewed his IRS documents," said audit specialist Kelly Ackerman who worked with Bernardo. "I discussed the situation with my client, gathered all of the documents that supported the transfer of his stocks and submitted them to the IRS CP2000 unit."

"Within three months, they got to the root of the problem," said Bernardo of JK Harris & Company. "They were all very professional and thorough in their investigation."

The audit notice was generated due to a stock transaction Bernardo made in 2009. He rolled over his IRS from one company to another. His former stockbroker reported the transfer of stocks from his brokerage firm to the new brokerage firm as a sales transaction, rather than a rollover.

Mr. Bernardo said his audit specialist Ms. Ackerman, was outstanding, communicating with him by phone, email and regular mail.

"I would STRONGLY recommend JK Harris & Company to anyone with tax problems," Bernardo said. "An audit can be a traumatic experience which requires professional help. Thanks, JK Harris; you were just what the doctor ordered for my blood pressure!"
