The Prisonworld Radio Hour - Bringing you Interesting Coffee Table Conversations

Dominique Strauss-Kahn, billionaire economist, lawyer and politician of the French persuasion has made an invasion onto American soil. His presence would not be high profile if not for the outstanding allegations of rape against him. Although this may sound like a Hollywood story, this is not art imitating life as the prosecutor for the borough of Manhattan contemplates moving forward with sexual assault charges.

The Prisonworld Radio Hour, a unique radio program which is targeted to all who want to listen, features acapella entertainment, prison news, trivia, letters from inmates out of the Prisonworld mailbag, celebrity and non-celebrity interviews, and the highly praised chemistry of co-hosts Rufus and Jenny Triplett, co-editors-in-chief of Prisonworld Magazine. The Prisonworld Radio Hour is broadcasted via internet and syndicated in distribution through Rss feeds, iTunes and dozens of affiliates across the country.

Jenny Triplett, co-host and co-producer says "Why is the victim on trial. There is a pattern of consistency to try the rape victim in the media. She deserves her day in court just like any other victim. Once it goes through a trial, then and only then can all of the facts be disclosed and defended. God forbid if ever I am raped and have to fight for my credibility. I don't care how many millions he may or may not have. Money cannot buy you character."

There is an overture of racial and class discrimination regarding this case. The mentioning of Strauss-Kahn's credentials and power versus the victim's background, gives the perception and exemption of honesty. Three reasons as to why a trial should happen are as follows:

• A victim has made an allegation of rape – In America, allegations are to be investigated and brought to justice through a judge or jury of your peers. Trials were never meant to be conducted in the media.

• The presumption of innocence should never be afforded to the wealthy – Some of the wealthiest people in America and in the world are some of the most scandalous and dishonest. When America starts to veer to the side of the one with the largest bank account, the system is doomed.

• The pattern of behavior of the accused – In the same capacity as the prosecutor is looking to validate the credibility of the victim; he should also look into the credibility and pattern of behaviors of Strauss-Kahn. There have been reports of him doing this before. It's a shame that the prosecutor could not call Strauss-Kahn's wife to the stand.

Those who commit sexual assault do it mainly as a sign of power and control. There are a certain category of women that fit the design of a sexual predator. "Dominique Strauss-Kahn fits the profile of a sex offender. He may be a powerful man but he is lacking mental and physical fulfillment," says Rufus Triplett, Jr., co-editor-in-chief.
