TROY, MI. 06/08/10- Credential Check Corporation announced today that they have enhanced their system to include a feature that allows clients to automate the adverse action procedures after conducting a background check. This new feature allows for the pre-adverse action notification and the applicant's summary of their rights to be ordered from the administrator's screen. If the candidate does not dispute the information within a reasonable period, an adverse action letter is then automatically sent to the candidate from the system. This new feature is designed to save clients time and also assist in maintaining compliance with the FCRA. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), if an employer makes an adverse hiring decision based on all or part of the background check, they must follow the pre-adverse action and adverse action procedures prescribed in the FCRA. By automating the process, the client can be assured that they have a consistent approach to compliance and adequate documentation. This new development was driven by client demand for a new and more efficient way to manage this process which can be onerous for large employers that may conduct thousands of background checks a year. According to Michael Pachuta, President at Credential Check, "It pleases us when we can automate a process that both enhances compliance and reduces the manual processing for our clients."
