Gary Lein Award recognizes time and dedication given to Community Associations Institute

 Andrea Behrens, vice president, sales & marketing for Nevada Association Services, Inc. was honored January 16, 2010 with the prestigious Gary Lein Award. Presented by the Nevada chapter of Community Associations Institute (CAI), the award recognizes Behrens' dedication, involvement and service throughout the years.

"I am incredibly proud of Andrea," said David Stone, president of Nevada Association Services, Inc., who has worked with Behrens since 2004. "It is an honor to be nominated for such a distinguished award. To be the fortunate recipient of the Gary Lein Award, and join such a talented group of past winners is fantastic. Andrea is a kind, wonderful, generous and hard-working individual. She is the type of person this esteemed award is meant to represent and we are elated to see her recognized for her many contributions to CAI-Nevada."

Behrens is responsible for business development, advertising, community relations, marketing, public relations and sales at NAS, Inc., which specializes in assessment collection. She also represents the company at industry events and homeowners associations' meetings, and is a sought-after speaker on marketing and sales-oriented topics.

The Gary Lein Award was named for CPA-Shareholder Gary Lein, of Hilburn & Lein, CPA's in Las Vegas, who has twice received the award for his dedication and involvement with CAI. Other past recipients include Judy Farrah, Gail Gouker, Sara Barry, John Leach and Ron Wright.

Behrens was selected by a panel of past recipients and the CAI board of directors for her level of commitment and the countless hours she's given the organization, said Lein. Behrens is considered a positive ambassador of CAI and the non-profit's mission of educating its associations and board members.

"Andrea Behrens has always been passionate about what she does and committed to making sure that when she's involved with something it's the best it can be," said Lein. "She takes pride in what she does, and wants to be the best."
