Meet Our Release Experts

Get the latest dental knowledge at Clinic and Research Day, set for Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry.

For the 23rd year, the College will take on the appearance of a national dental meeting all day, as the event will run from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. All clinics at the College will be closed that day.

There will be more than 100 oral and poster presentations by students and faculty on a variety of clinical and research subjects, awards, and dental products vendors' exhibits. There are competitions planned just for fun, too.

The keynote speaker will be Paul H. Krebsbach, DDS, PhD, the Roy H. Roberts Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Chair of the Department of Biologic and Materials Sciences and Division of Prosthodontics at the University of Michigan. His talk is titled, "Developments in Stem Cell Research: Progenitor Cells Inspire Tissue Regeneration."

Events will wrap up with presentations of awards in a variety of categories.

This year, there will be more for interested practicing dentists than ever. Alumni will serve as judges, and there will be a special lunch area for alumni of UIC and other dental schools. Continuing Education credit will be awarded for attending a selected number of poster presentations and the keynote presentation.

Commercial enterprises are welcome to participate as exhibitors, sponsors, or both. Exhibitors will be provided display space. For information about exhibiting, contact Kathleen Boyce at (312) 413-9260 or boycekat@uic.edu.
