Trinity Officer Addresses International Conference on Anti-Corruption

Theodore J. Swystun, Trinity Analytica's Principal Research Officer, being interviewed by Osama Rasheed of CNBC at the Second Kuwait Transparency Forum in Kuwait City. Mr. Swystun addressed the forum on strategies for fighting corruption in national police and security services. (KUNA) Kuwait City, Kuwait) Theodore J. Swystun, Trinity Analytica's Principal Research Officer was one of a select group of international experts invited to address the Second Kuwait Transparency Forum held last week in this Persian Gulf capital. Mr. Swystun, who has conducted extensive research on the subject of national anti-corruption strategies, addressed the conference on methods for fighting corruption in national police and security services. The conference, organized annually by the Kuwait Transparency Society under the sponsorship of His Highness Sheikh Sobah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sobah, Amir of Kuwait, provides an opportunity for anti-corruption experts from across the globe to share their latest research and findings with Kuwaiti officials, academicians, and the media. Also addressing the conference this year were Paul Prettitore of the World Bank, Marie-Claire Guttery of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, and Dr. Corbus de Swardt, Managing Director of Transparency International. A board certified management consultant with over twenty years of international experience, Mr. Swystun formerly served on the board of directors of the Institute of Management Consultants (USA). Prior to the outbreak of the Second Gulf War, he was an advisor to the Kuwaiti Ministry of Planning on industrial reconstruction and the Kuwaiti Council of Ministers on the development of the divided zone jointly administered by Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. A frequent speaker before professional and academic groups, Mr. Swystun recently presented his research on changing perceptions of corruption amongst Kuwaiti industrialists in the post Gulf War period to the Economics of Corruption 2007 conference at the University of Passau in Germany.
