Bolles' Mega-Blockbuster: What Color is Your Parachute?

The Las Vegas Convention Speakers Bureau announces mega-bestselling author Richard Bolles will write the foreword in their new speakers anthology, "The Power of the Platform: Speakers on Purpose". Bolles, who sold more than ten million copies of "What Color is Your Parachute?" knows a thing or two about purpose. Bureau president Robin Jay said that Bolles will join Jack Canfield, Brian Tracy, Marci Shimoff, Keith Ferrazzi, Barbara DeAngelis, and other personal development experts in the anthology, due out this fall.

"The Power of the Platform: Speakers on Purpose" is the second edition in the series. The first edition, "Speakers on Success," also featured Canfield and Tracy, along with self-help pros Les Brown, Dr. Tony Alessandra, and more. The book was just released in January, 2009 and has already been nominated for a USA Book News Best Books award.

Jay says she is delighted to have Bolles write the foreword. She shares, "My brother bought a copy of Bolles' 'Parachute' book for me in 1985, when I didn't know what to do or where to turn. The perspective Bolles shared in his book showed me how to determine what it was that I wanted to do, where I wanted to go, and how to get there. He made anything seem possible. Now, getting to work with him, an expert who changed my life, is nothing short of thrilling"

"Parachute" has sold more than 10,000,000 copies and has been read by job seekers everywhere. In his book, Bolles explains why traditional job searches don't work, plus he shares a uplifting, positive ways to find rewarding employment. Still the best-selling job-hunting book in the world, "What Color is Your Parachute?" is the most complete guide for first-time job seekers and career changers. For more than three decades, it remains a mainstay on best-seller lists, from Amazon.com to the New York Times, and it has been translated into 20 languages. Fortune magazine calls it "the gold standard of career guides"

Bolles has kept up with technology, as job seeking has gone global. His website features online job hunting tools and countless resources. His newest book, which just came out this month, is "The Job Hunter's Survival Guide: How to Find Hope and Rewarding Work, Even When 'There Are No Jobs.'

There are still a few chapters available in "Speakers on Purpose" Jay says she is looking for, "the cream of the crop…experts and professional speakers who not only need a book, but who want to be associated with other leaders in the personal development industry" For more information, e-mail Jay at Robin@LVCSB.com.
