Long-term care insurance agents licensed in Texas are being invited to participate in a special webinar presented by Jesse Slome, director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance.

"We are going to focus on new long-term care planning options that are just coming into the Texas marketplace," Slome notes.  "I am very excited about a short-term care insurance option that will shortly be available in Texas that will provide agents with an affordable option for their senior clients."

The one-hour online sales training webinar will take place Wednesday, June 8th.  "Agents who sell long-term care insurance in Texas are especially encouraged to connect with us for details about participating," Slome adds.  "I know they will really gain benefit from what I am going to share."

Short-term care insurance products generally provide benefits for up to 360 days of care.  "You can generally use the benefits for home care, for assisted living or for skilled nursing home care," Slome explains.  "The new policy Slome will discuss can be issued to applicants up to age 89 and has some features I know agents will find valuable as they help their clients plan for long-term care."

To learn more about participating in the webinar, call the National Advisory Center for Short-Term Care Information at 818-597-3205.  To learn more about short term care insurance, visit the Center's website at www.shorttermcareinsurance.org.
