For men and women who suspect infidelity, here are 3 tips from infidelity expert Ruth Houston on how to catch a cheating mate on or around Valentine's Day. This may be the most romantic time of the year, but it's also the best time to catch a cheating mate.
Houston, an internationally-recognized infidelity expert who is frequently called on by the media to comment on celebrity infidelity and popular infidelity issues in the news, says
"People rarely associate Valentine's Day with infidelity. But it's a very real side of Valentine's Day that even the media is reluctant to tell people about. That's why I started the annual Valentine's Day Infidelity Awareness Campaign which is now in its 12th year."
For those who think they might have a cheating Valentine, Ruth Houston who has been researching infidelity for over 20 years, offers the following tips on what to be alert for during "Valentine season" which includes Mistress Day on February 13.
A Disappearing Gift
Often a disappearing Valentine's Day will alert a wife or girlfriend to the existence of an affair. If she accidentally discovers a hidden Valentine's gift and she doesn't personally receive that gift on Valentine's Day, obviously it was given to someone else.
New Jewelry
New jewelry can sometimes be a clue that a woman is cheating on her mate. Gifts of jewelry that show up on or shortly after Valentine's Day often alert an unsuspecting husband or boyfriend that his wife or girlfriend is having an affair. If the jewelry is heart-shaped, or engraved with sentiments of love, it's a dead giveaway.
A Rendezvous on Mistress Day, Feb. 13
Cheating Valentines will usually make arrangements to meet their affair partner on Mistress Day, Feb. 13, or on Feb. 15, the day after Valentine's Day since Valentine's Day itself must be spent with their significant other or their spouse. It could be a romantic lunch or dinner, or an afternoon lover's tryst at an upscale hotel. At the very least, whether the cheater is male or female, a quick meet-up will be involved in order to give or receive the traditional Valentine's Day gift. This is usually the best time to catch a cheating mate.
