Well who wouldn?t be glued to the Grammys when Kris Kristofferson and co took to the stage last weekend. The yummy, 77 year-old heart throb had females of a certain age swooning during several favorites including Mammas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys. And to quote my young hairdresser, he was my first ?old man? crush! Who could forget him along side Barbra Streisand in the all-time favorite A Star is Born, where he plays her washed-up musician husband. Now craggy and aging, the guy still exudes a certain sex appeal and it was a pleasure to witness the Grammy spectacle joined by fellow ?Highwaymen? Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard. Kristofferson was born June 22, 1936 and is an American
country music legend, songwriter, musician, and film star. For his music, my favs are;
Me and Bobby McGee and
Help Me Make It Through the Night ? that voice gets me every time. Kristofferson is the sole writer of most of his songs. And although most of his films were not notable, it was always a pleasure to see him on screen. If it were up to me, there would be a number of anti-aging elements that I would suggest for him, and other men of his age to help rescue them from the brink. But for Kristofferson, let?s just leave him to mellow and hold on to the memory that the sexy Texan with the buttery voice, still has what it takes!
