PrintableBoardGames.net has 19 new board games for those interested in dice, cards, tabletop games and more.
"Printable dice and cards are great to have on hand since so many games use them for various functions," said Kevin Savetz, the site's creator. "But PrintableBoardGames.net also has some specific templates for classic board games."
Among the classic strategy games are logic-based templates such as Fox and Geese, Nim and Shogi. Others are inspired by traditional games such as Chinese Chess, Chinese Checkers and Mahjong. Some have pieces that can be cut out and used immediately on the board. There are also colorful, illustrated games, such as the Jungle Game with pieces that look like animals, and the Siege of Paris.
Many games require the use of dice, so now a foldable, printable die can be used with many variations on sides. There's the traditional six-sided die, as well as four-, eight-, and ten-sided dice. These are great for Dungeons and Dragons or other tabletop games. There are also blank versions of each set of dice so that users can write in their own results for more creative play, chores or favors.
Playing cards are now available in two versions. There are regular playing cards, with all 52 cards free to download four to a page. There is also a separate deck of cards for playing the game Rook that has different colors and numbering.
Each printable board game template is free to download and print as a PDF file. The game collection makes all the games instantly accessible for only $11, which is a handy option for educational settings or hard-core gamers.
"Make sure you print the playing cards and game boards on cardstock," said Savetz. "They'll be sturdier and last longer."
There are more than 90 sites in the FreePrintable.net family of free printables sites created by Savetz Publishing, Inc., a company devoted to creating useful and informative web sites of interest to consumers and small businesses.
