Los Angeles, CA - September 4, 2015 - Insurance agents who market to seniors are being encouraged to short term care insurance to the various types of insurance products they market.

"If you market Medicare Supplement, Medicare Advantage, long term care insurance or any retirement-protection insurance product, short term care insurance is something you need to learn about," declares Jesse Slome, director of the National Advisory Center for Short Term Care, an organization recently established under the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance (AALTCI).

"Short term care insurance is a vital form of affordable protection and we need more insurance agents learning about the various available products," Slome shares.  According to a just-published study of industry data by the organization, sales of short term care insurance policies increased 71 percent during the first half of 2015 as compared to the prior year.

"I predict continued increase as more agents become familiar with these products, as more states approve short term care offerings and as more insurance companies enter the marketplace," Slome concludes.

The National Advisory Center has established a new website that can be accessed by those seeking more information.   To learn more go to www.shorttermcareinsurance.org.
