Attract the Right Job or Clientele: Decisions Are Personal and To Be Made with Care
Over time, it has become apparent there are two types of people when it comes to helping others make important decisions. The first will insist their way is the best and the person inquiring should do it their way. And the second type will carefully listen to the question in order to provide insight both pro and con for the best decision to be made.
The problem with the first type who insists everyone needs to follow their footsteps is it creates undue stress in others. This was the reason I found it difficult to sleep last night. I could see the benefit of either “yes” or “no” and was considering the long-term effect of each through the wee hours of the night.
Undoubtedly this dilemma will show itself with a career move, business development issue, as well as in your personal life. The best suggestion is to weigh all options for serious matters before making an important decision.
Plan
When someone suggests you are doing things all wrong, reflect upon your current plan. Do you truly believe it has holes in it and needs to be revised? Are you satisfied with your original plan? To be on the safe side consider whether adjustments should be made to ensure a positive outcome.
Vision
A good deciding factor is to consider your long-term goal. The answer usually lies within the one choice that is more likely to help you achieve that goal.
Belief
Now that you have reviewed your plan and that it does align with the vision you hold near and dear, it is vitally important that you embrace it. It is a proven fact that strong belief in forthcoming success will add greatly to success coming true.
Reality Check
While you may have many similarities with the other person telling you your ideas won’t work, the fact is we each have a unique DNA. What won’t work for some may actually work for others. The biggest question is whether the dilemma on your mind is worth your time and effort. Should the answer be “yes it is worth my time” then pursue the idea to your heart’s content.
In the end, you will live without regret and most likely will advance further than otherwise possible. Keep pursuing what you believe to be right in order to enjoy the Smooth Sale!
