As a founder and president of Galeas Consulting, a technology management firm, Scap brings to the IT Committee his insights into using IT effectively to grow small and mid-size enterprises throughout the borough of Queens.

The Information Technology Committee monitors developments in the industry and keeps its membership apprised of current new trends. In addition, it works closely with the Governmental Relations Committee providing input on latest developments. It represents the Chamber at Public Hearings related to new technology used by the City to foster easy access to businesses such as 311.

"I am excited to join the IT Committee and have the opportunity to help the Queens business community address various IT issues and realize the strategic business opportunities presented by information technology," Scap said. "Technology is at the center of today's business operations, and small and mid-size businesses can use all the help and direction they can get, with particular guidance towards increasing the value of their business through technology."
