A straightforward new website has launched to answer the simple question of whether banks are open today.
BanksOpenToday.com is the latest helpful, handy site from Savetz Publishing, Inc., which also offers free printables at nearly 100 FreePrintable.net sites, and the ability to send a free internet fax via FaxZero.com.
"Whether you need to deposit a check, send a wire transfer or do some other important banking business, BanksOpenToday.com will let you know instantly if banks are closed due to U.S. federal holidays," said Kevin Savetz, the site's creator. "Just visit the site URL and instantly learn whether banks are open today, and whether they will be open tomorrow."
BanksOpenToday.com serves up an answer based on the official schedule of Federal Reserve Bank holidays, and also takes into account when one of the listed holidays falls on a Sunday (and thus banks observe the holiday the following Monday). The site doesn't consider the possible hours of in-store banks and branches that are open on weekends. But if the site says that, no, banks are not open, users will know that it's a federal banking holiday.
The site is a complement to PostOfficeOpen.com, which since 2010 has advised visitors whether the U.S. post office is open on that day, and the subsequent day.
"I'm pleased to provide so many websites that are useful and information to consumers and businesses," Savetz said. "BanksOpenToday definitely fits that description."
There are nearly 100 sites in the FreePrintable.net family of free printables sites created by Savetz Publishing, Inc., a company devoted to creating useful and informative web sites of interest to consumers and small businesses.
