ltpic9Everyone?s stress level and psyche can be negatively affected these days and often we do not even realize what?s happening to us. We may inexplicably feel ?down? or ?sad? and find it hard to cope with simple everyday matters. We are constantly bombarded with information and offers, problems and dilemmas that may overwhelm us, leaving us in doubt about our own self-worth and future.
Being ?stressed out? means different things to all of us, but one thing is for sure. If you look closely at the three main causes of stress, you will see that they all have to do with the way that your mind reacts. The key to dealing successfully with stress starts by pinpointing the root of the stress. Everything that causes us to feel stressed comes from the mind.
Analyze the nature of your stress, and you?ll find that it is usually emotionally, physically or psychologically charged…caused by people or activities in your life – and even your current lifestyle.
In this week?s article take the quick stress test and then follow the five suggestions I?ve given you to help cope with stress. You don?t have to do all of them – pick the one or two that resonate most with you and begin to apply them.
Until next week,
Lillian

LTStressladyAre You Stuck in the Cycle of Stress?
5 Sure Ways to Cope With Stress Today
We?re all faced with stressful situations – it?s just the way life is. Some of us cope with stress better than others, but the inability to cope with stress directly affects our sense of happiness, well-being and even our feng shui.
Stress can manifest in the physical body in the form of headaches, earaches, toothaches, chest pain, skin rashes and breakouts, heart palpitations. Often it alters our breathing causing us to hold or breath or breathe unevenly, gives us indigestion and problems in other areas of the physical body. We may feel overly tired and out of sorts despite getting a good night?s sleep.

Test Yourself Now
As you journey more into self-discovery you must take into account the stress level under which you operate. Look within to see what causes you to feel stressed. Consider the following stress-inducing situations and see how many apply to you:

  • Feeling inadequate at work?
  • Are you feeling inadequate at work?ltmInadequateatwork
  • Are you feeling inadequate in your love life?
  • Do you compare yourself unfavorably with your peers?
  • Are you dissatisfied with your marriage?
  • Are you having cash flow problems?
  • Are you in danger of losing your job?
  • Are you feeling bored?
  • Are you desperately afraid of something?
  • Have you made a promise you cannot fulfill?
  • Do you feel stuck in a cycle of stress?
As you review the above list and begin to dissect the causes of stress in your life you will also recognize your own level of tolerance in certain stressful situations. Different people have different levels of tolerance and invariably the cause of all stress can be reduced to three sources:
  1. People around you who cause you to become emotionally stressed
  2. External events which cause you to become physically stressed
  3. Lifestyle related issues that cause you to become psychologically stressed
If you look closely at the three main causes of stress, you will see that they all have to do with the way that your mind reacts. The key to dealing successfully with stress starts by pinpointing the root of the stress. Everything that causes us to feel stressed comes from the mind.

5 Sure Ways to Cope With Stress

  1. Slow down your reaction to people and events and generate a sense of mental calmness before responding.
  2. Learn to reverse the negatives in life – find a hidden positive benefit.
  3. Try physical relaxation methods. Start with deep breathing exercises, or a yoga or Chi Kung class.
  4. Create powerful word affirmations. Think up short, positive statements that continually enhance your confidence to build you up so that you believe any outcome will be positive. Repeat these or print and post them where you can see them.
  5. Try mental and creative visualization exercises. In times of stress immediately picture yourself happy and relaxed, lying on a beach or going for a walk.
Often stress comes from anxiety, fear, guilt and pressure. We feel we are unable to cope or we just can?t take any more…and our sense of self-worth deteriorates. Discover what is causes you the most stress and use the methods above to help you cope in this time of ever-increasing pressures to succeed and survive that we live in.
To your success and good health,
Lillian

The Real Secret of the Famous Woman Warrior
Hua Mu Lan
LTHuaMaLanWarriorThere are many legends about Hua Mu Lan made even more famous about 15 years ago in the Disney animation entitled ?Mulan?. However, despite being China?s most famous heroine there is still some confusion regarding Hua Mu Lan?s real name.
The Ming Annals claim her surname is Zhu, while the Qing Annals declare it is Wei. Still another old text refers to her as Mu as in Mu Lan. There are also contentious issues regarding where she was born and even where she lived and different historians place her in different dynasties!
All of these historical claims arise from the sheer magnificence of Hu Mu Lan?s military accomplishments. Although she was not the first woman in Chinese history to disguise herself as a man…she is definitely the most famous.
As the story goes, her infirmed father was conscripted into the imperial army. He had served the Emperor before but had grown old and was well past the age of active duty. His only son was too young. Hua Mu Lan, seeing no alternative, disguised herself as her father and took his place at the head of the Imperial Army.
For many years the army fought long and hard battles and stories of the bravery of the army leader (Hua Mu Lan) were well known throughout the land…even reaching the ears of those at the Imperial Court. The Emperor summoned Hua Mu Lan to the court to bestow a high court position on her but she declined (for obvious reasons) and returned to her home.
It was many years before the truth of her identity was revealed and by then the stories of her warrior exploits had become the stuff of legends!
Hua Mu Lan?s name symbolizes filial piety, steadfastness and great courage. Her image denotes triumph and victory against great odds. Since the victory star 1 flies into the Southwest (home of the matriarch) in 2014, all women leaders and CEO?s can benefit and seize good fortune by inviting her image into your office and placing it on your desk to solidify your power and status.
You can find Hua Mu Lan here
To your success!

Here’s Where NOT to Place Your Wealth God Images
Never place images of any of the Gods of Wealth in your bedroom as this is said to be very inappropriate. Instead, place them in your living room or dining room, as this is very beneficial. Try to place them in a corner that corresponds to your most auspicious direction under the Kua Formula or the home direction of your astrological sign (for example in West part of the room if you are a rooster). If you do not know your KUA number please go to www.wofs.com and you will find it in the upper right corner of the home page.Find Your Way Into the Secret Corner of Someone’s Heart
Find your way into her heartLTLovegirl
It always feels good to receive a compliment…especially when it is sincere and from the heart. You see, flattery only really works when you do it sincerely. This doesn’t mean you have to be all sugary and sweet. Instead, find something genuinely pleasant to say about the person you are interacting with. When you make this small effort to look for the good and comment on it, you’ll find you way into the secret corners of that person’s heart.
