
Veterans Advocacy Organization Challenges Congress to Endorse Veterans' Bill of Rights
Maj. Brian Hampton, Publisher of the VETERANS' VISION, is calling for Members of Congress to endorse his organization's Veterans' Bill of Rights which would double the assistance to transitional facilities getting homeless veterans off the streets, ensure that every VA Center has post traumatic stress disorder counseling and to "Put Veterans First"
Maj. Hampton enlisted in the Army in 1968; complete Basic, Advanced Infantry Training and graduated from Infantry Officer Candidate School before going to Vietnam, where he served with Psycohological Operations. He stayed active in the Army Reserves for over 22 years. He graduated from the Infantry Officer Advanced Course as well as the Command and General Staff Officer Course of the Command and General Staff College. In the Active Army Reserve, he had tours at the Pentagon and the Special Welfare School at Ft. Bragg. He retired from the Army Reserve as a Major.
A graduate of Alma College with a Masters Degree in Communications from Michigan State University, Maj. Hampton has worked as a political campaign consultant (and run for Congress himself) and run his own fundraising and communications business.
In 1993, he founded the Circle of Friends for American Veterans. His organization is a 501(c)3 IRS-determined non-profit organization that provides support for homeless veterans who are willing to work for the purpose of getting them back into society where they belong. He is also the publisher of the nationwide VETERANS' VISION that focuses the experience and dedication of American veterans on the challenges facing the nation.
