Ken Keranen is one of the Nation's foremost Reverse Mortgage experts. He took his first application using the FHA Government-Insured HECM Program on March 15, 1993. Ken has guided hundreds through the Reverse Mortgage Process as a loan officer, branch manager and department head. He pioneered the Reverse Mortgage Division for Seattle Mortgage (since purchased by the Bank of America). Ken developed the origination and servicing software, named Reverseware, and set up their "net branch organization". The recently announced HECM For Home Purchase Program was publicly advocated by Ken in formal presentations to both the National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association (NRMLA), of which he was a founding Board of Directors member, and to the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA).
