The Invictas are one of America?s longest playing rock ?n roll bands. They are ?The Legend That Rocks.? The name Invicta in latin means invincible.
During the 60?s this band shocked parents and attracted thousands of teen fans with a song and dance known as ?The Hump.?
They would arrive in a hot rod hearse along with a police escort.
In 2005 The Invictas reunited... three of the four original members are on stage along with 3 added members.
The Invictas have played with groups like The Beach Boys, and rocked thousands from NY to Fl.
Their music is high- energy classic rock and every band member is 60 or older. The band covers 50 years of rock, and yes they play "The Hump" along with several other originals with names like Skip 'N Go Naked.
In addition, the band has another hot rod hearse. The lead singer, Herb Gross dances across the stage like a teenager. The music gets the audience on their feet dancing and singing.
Just like the 60's,the audience is part of the show.
It's a fun rock 'n roll party that includes 50 years of rock 'n roll hits.
No one told this band they were too old to do this.
